NCS – Moving Forward
Why not take part in NCS with YCH Services for Young People this year?
Sure, you could Netflix-binge your way through your school holidays… but if you want to squeeze more out of your time off get yourself on NCS.
Watch this video to see what the Moving Forward NCS programme is all about and what you'll be doing:
Want an unforgettable experience? Look no further!
Take part in NCS and you'll do loads of amazing activities that’ll help you make up for some of the time you lost over lockdown. You’ll meet a bunch of new people and have a load of fun, gain skills that are great for your future and your CV, try things you’ve never tried before, show off your creative side and boost your confidence. And best of all – it’s completely free!
Get involved in your local community
There’ll also be some time at the end of the week to get involved in your local community and create a positive, lasting impact through social action. Because, let’s face it, as we all start to navigate our way around this new normal, everyone could do with an extra bit of help - and this is the perfect place to start if you’re not quite sure how to do it!

The programme takes place during school holidays.
How long for?
The bulk of the programme will take place Monday to Friday, with a few additional hours of your spare time to complete your social action project afterwards.
We’ll pick you up by coach at a central point in your local area each morning and drop you off again at the end of the day. Or, if you’d be more comfortable, you can politely ask your parents to drive you instead.
You’ll be encouraged to meet new people and make new friends on the programme so can come on your own, but this is also a great opportunity to spend some quality time with your friends from school - so get them to sign up too!
What to bring?
We aren't staying overnight anywhere this year so what you need to bring is minimal. We’ll provide you with a kit list nearer the time but as long as you’re dressed sensibly for the weather, got lunch, snacks, water, and of course your phone for those all-important selfies, you’ll be just fine!
