YCH Services for Young People youth work projects in the East Herts district

Covid-19 update: 8 April 2021

From 19 April YCH Services for Young People youth work projects will resume in our young people’s centres.

All venues have been certified by Hertfordshire County Council as Covid-19 secure.

Street-based (outdoor) projects will continue to run.

The Bishop's Stortford Access Point is open for one-to-one support. Please contact the team to make an appointment before visiting.

Projects for young people in the East Herts district

  • Emotional Wellbeing Project
    For young people aged 13 to 17 in the Bishop’s Stortford area who would like support with emotional wellbeing and self-esteem, or who are struggling with anxiety or low mood.
    Every Monday, 6-7pm

  • Ware Young People’s Forum
    For young people aged 11 to 17 to make their voices heard in their community.
    Every Monday, 6-7pm

  • Girls and Young Women’s Project
    For young women aged 13 to 17 who live in the Ware area.
    Every Tuesday, 5:30-6:30pm

  • Healthy Lifestyles Project
    For young people aged 13 to 17 who live in the Hertford area and would like to live a healthier lifestyle.
    Every Tuesday, 7-8pm

  • Supporting You Project
    For young people aged 13-17 who would like to learn a range of CBT techniques to overcome feelings of worry and anxiety.
    Every Wednesday, 6-7pm

    For young people aged 13 to 17 who are in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans community and those who are questioning their sexuality.

  • Sawbridgeworth Project
    For young people aged 13 to 17 who live in the Sawbridgeworth area

  • M&M Project
    For young people aged 13 to 17 who have mild to moderate learning disabilities.

  • LGBT+ Project
    For young adults aged 18 to 24 who are in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans community and those who are questioning their sexuality.

East Herts Team Youth Workers are out and about engaging with young people in Hertford and Bishop's Stortford every week.
