YCH Services for Young People youth work projects in the Hertsmere district

Covid-19 update: 8 April 2021

From 19 April YCH Services for Young People youth work projects will resume in our young people’s centres.

All venues have been certified by Hertfordshire County Council as Covid-19 secure.

Street-based (outdoor) projects will continue to run.

The Borehamwood Access Point is open for one-to-one support. Please contact the team to make an appointment before visiting.

Projects for young people in the Hertsmere district

  • Fusion Project 
    For young adults aged 18-24 with learning disabilities.
    Every Monday, 7-9pm
  • Speak Up Youth Council 
    For young people aged 11–17 to have a voice in their community.
    Every Tuesday, 4-6pm
  • The YESS LGBT+ Project 
    For young LBGT+ people aged 13-17.
    Every Tuesday, 6.30-8.30pm. Please get in touch if you'd like to join.
  • Shine @ 96 Project 
    For young people aged 13-17 with additional needs.
    Every Tuesday, 6.30-8.30pm
  • Potters Bar Youth Project 
    For young people aged 12-15.
    Every Tuesday, 7-9pm. Please get in touch if you'd like to join.
  • Bushey Emotional Wellbeing Project 
    For young people aged 14-17.
    Every Wednesday, 6-8pm
  • Emotional Wellbeing Project 
    For young people aged 13-17 who would like support with emotional wellbeing and self esteem, or who are struggling with anxiety or low mood.
    Every Thursday, 5-7pm
  • Fridays @ 96 
    For young people aged 13-17.
    Every Friday, 6.30-8.30pm
  • Better Choices 
    One-to-one and groupwork support for young people at risk of exploitation.
  • Positive Pathways 
    One to one support and groupwork for young people involved in or at risk of involvement in crime and antisocial behaviour.

Youth Workers will be out and about engaging with young people in Potters Bar and Borehamwood every week.
