Covid-19 update: 8 April 2021
From 19 April YCH Services for Young People youth work projects will resume in our young people’s centres.
All venues have been certified by Hertfordshire County Council as Covid-19 secure.
Street-based (outdoor) projects will continue to run.
The Stevenage Access Point is open for one-to-one support. Please contact the team to make an appointment before visiting.

Projects for young people in the Stevenage district
- 'Supporting You' Emotional Wellbeing and Resilience Project
For young people aged 13-16 who would like support with emotional wellbeing and self esteem, or who are struggling with anxiety or low mood.
Every Monday, 6-8pm - NHS Cadets
For young people aged 14-16 who are thinking about a career in the NHS.
Every Tuesday, 5.30-7.30pm - Megamix Project
For young people aged 13-17 with learning disabilities. During this enjoyable and engaging session, we discuss relationships, health, emotional wellbeing and developing skills for independent living.
Every Tuesday, 6-7pm - Stevenage Youth Council
For young people aged 11–17 to have a voice in their community.
Every Wednesday, 4.30-6.30pm - Identity LGBT+ Project
For young people aged 13-17 who are in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans community and those who are questioning their sexuality. Join discussions with other young LGBT+ people and get information and support from youth workers.
Every Wednesday, 7-9pm - The Thursday Night Project
For young people 13-16. We discuss current issues affecting young people, including substance misuse, gambling, county lines and how to recognise and avoid unhealthy relationships.
Every Thursday, 6.30-8.30pm - The Oval Friday Night Project
For young people aged 11-14 to get support with their emotional and mental wellbeing.
Every Friday, 6-7pm - The Bedwell Friday Night Project
For young people 14-17. The group offers a safe space to explore day-to-day challenges and strategies for managing emotions around these. We also discuss coping strategies to help with low level anxiety and worry.
Every Friday, 7.30-8.30pm - The Empathy Project
A peer befriending scheme for young people aged 16-21.
