Support for young people

From 19 April YCH Services for Young People youth work projects will resume in our young people’s centres.

All venues have been certified by Hertfordshire County Council as Covid-19 secure.

Street-based (outdoor) projects will continue to run.

The Welwyn Garden City Access Point is open for one-to-one support. Please contact the team to make an appointment before visiting.

Autism Project
For young people with autism aged 13 to 17.
Every Monday, 5-6pm
Serenity LGBT+ Project
For young people aged 13 to 17 who are in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans community and those who are questioning their sexuality.
Every Monday, 6-8pm
Just Bee Emotional Wellbeing Project
For young people aged 13 to 17 who would like support with emotional wellbeing and self-esteem, or who are struggling with anxiety or low mood.

Girls and Young Women’s Project
For young women aged 13 to 17 from the Welwyn Hatfield area.
Every Tuesday, 6-7pm
Emotional Wellbeing Project
For young people aged 13 to 17 who would like support with emotional wellbeing and self-esteem, or who are struggling with anxiety or low mood.
Every Wednesday, 6-7pm
Focus Project
For young people with learning disabilities aged 13-17.
Every Thursday, 6-7pm
Supporting You Project
For young people aged 13-17 who would like to learn a range of CBT techniques to overcome feelings of worry and anxiety.
Every Thursday, 6-7pm
LGBT+ Project
For LGBT+ young adults aged 18 to 24 who are in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans community and those who are questioning their sexuality.
Every Thursday, 8-9pm

Youth Workers will be out and about engaging with young people in Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield every week.
